Every Faber bridge comes standard with saddles that are pre-notched with starter positioning notches only, a small notch dead center on each saddle. They can be used as is, but we recommend notching them to your string gauge. Choose this option only if you’d rather start from saddles with no notches at all. We’ll install no-notch saddles in the saddle choice you made. They must be notched to your string gauge before the strings go on. Doing that right takes a proper set of gauged notching files, which most players don’t have. If you don’t, have a guitar tech with the right files cut the notches.
