I purchased the gloss gold kit for my 2020 Les Paul Custom. I was a bit skeptical that it would actually make a difference to the tone. I installed the bridge first just to see if that would make any difference. Surprisingly, it actually did.
I removed the strings and finished installing the kit. I find that locking the string stop down makes a bigger difference than the bridge does. Together though, they make a very nice improvement.
