The Big Dog! Built upon the fabulous body construction of the Little Dog, makes this guitar one of the best sounding two humbucker electric guitars ever made! Note that the videos are showing a Big Dog with the Mass.Effect tone system, which uses 2 push-pulls on the volume controls for coil splitting. This particular guitar, BD=017, uses regular 500K CTS pots for the volume controls. The tones you hear in the video without the coil splitting are what you will hear on this guitar. The main focus is to provide the best “regular” tones from each of the pickups, and then to provide the best in Peter Green Tone “out of phase” when using the push-pulls on the tone controls. Simple out of phase is controlled by the neck tone pot. When adding in the bridge push-pull with “Cocked Wah,” it makes the out of phase tone much more robust. A real treat for Peter Green fans!
